Mindfulness Colouring CIP!

Hola! This week in CIP (Community Impact Project) we are working on Colouring Mindfulness.
What is colouring mindfulness?
Colouring Mindfulness is where you do colouring to relax your mind and get your problems fade away while you're doing it.  So that is the thing we are focusing on in CIP but instead of we are the one doing the activity we are hosting a Colouring Competition for the other school. The reason we're doing this is that we want the other people to have something creative and relaxing to do.
Last period we discuss what is Mindfulness Colouring and what well being is that on.
Based on our discussion It's in all wellbeing categories.

Here's a video of what we watched about Mindfulness Colouring:

Because we are running an event like we are asked to blog about what are our ideas of how will the event run.
In my opinion, I think the event should run like this:
- There should be only 1 year we are focusing on but lots of different schools as well because If we did like Yr. 1 - Yr. 6 Colouring competition, It would be unfair because the Yr. 6's students colouring might be better than the Yr. 1 ones.

- We should give them at least a few days like probably 3 days to finish their colourings because there are only like 2 weeks before the Term ends.

- For the prizes, we should have at least like a budget given in each group or like $10.00 and buy a prize out of that money.

- Because we're buying prizes I think we should have a day we're all of us are going shopping for the prizes. Maybe not all of the students maybe just like 1 person per groups.

Thanks For reading!
Please me some feedback about my work, I would love to hear your feedback
.
Have a  nice day!

5 Enjoyable and Unforgettable days of Filipino Week!

5 Enjoyable and Unforgettable days of Filipino Week!

Kamusta! Last week was the Filipino Week because on June 12 was the day of Independence Day, where we Filipinos were set free from Spanish people that once wanna take over the Philippines during the olden days. By celebrating Independence Day we have a Filipino week, now I'm going to tell you what we did on those 5 enjoyable and unforgettable days.

Day 1

On day 1 which is Monday, during morning tea we taught people some basic greeting in Tagalog like Magandang Umaga (Good Morning), Kamusta/Kumusta (Hi How are you).  If they say one greeting they will receive a cool prize. A lot of people tried and received lots of awesome prizes.

Day 2

On day 2 which is Tuesday, We played some Filipino games like Tumbang Presso, Partentero Kadang Kadang etc. We played games both during Morning Tea and Lunch. There is also a prize up for grabs for the people that won the game, which is really fun.

Day 3

On day 3 which is Wednesday, It was actually the date of Independence Day which is June 12.
During Morning Tea and lunch we performed some great folk dances like Subli, Cariniossa etc held in Auditorium.
And we have to wear our kimona (Filipino dress) for the whole day.

Day 4

On day 4 which is Thursday, we have a little lovely concert held in Auditorium as well.
There was a lot of great singing voice like a harmonized of angels. They were a lot of Filipino songs performed and a couple some English ones.

Day 5

Finally, on day 5, that's when we have our Salu-Salo evening held in Auditorium 6pm - 8pm.
All of the Folkdances and some harmonizing songs were performed again as well in the night. We also had modern dances like K-Pops etc. Here are some pictures throughout the evening.

I really enjoyed all of these 5 days!

  Watch the video! ↓

THE BIG PICTURE

  • What animals keep our jackets warm?
Answer: Inside the jacket, it has the down from Birds, which made it fluffy and warm. The cord inside the hood is made from cotton and silk: Plants and silkworms.

Answer: The animal that keeps out boots waterproof are Ducks. Just like the ducks' body to keep their feather dry and their bodies buoyant and warm.

  • What do bugs do to our leaves?
Answer: They help us clean our water, pollinate and help the plants and flowers grow and be the food of the other bigger animals. They also provide us with medicines and technology or even new materials.

  • Reduce - It means decreasing/becoming smaller the amount of rubbish.
  • Reuse - It means reusing the stuff that you have, like the plastic water bottle, you can reuse it.

NEEDS V.S. WANTS

Kamusta! This week in CIP we are learning about what we NEED and what we WANT.
We have a discussion about what we really need and want. Our teacher says we need to blog about 5 things what we need and want in our own opinion.

Need means is like the things we can't live without and we need them to survive.
Want means like the things we probably don't really need and we can live without it.

Here's a DLO that I've made using Google drawing:

Paalam! Thanks for reading my blog post hope you learn something!

Dance Group Experience Term 2

Dance Group Experience

Kumusta! Today I'm gonna be talking about my dance group experience.
Last Wednesday, was the day where we performed our simple dance. We practised our dance in like about 4 weeks before the performance. Our lovely teacher in our Dance Group year 7/8's is Miss Birtch. She taught us some lovely and amazing dance steps.

Here's a video of us performing in Term 2 2019:
Music:  Cut to the feeling by Carly Rae Jepsen
My favourite part was the whole dance, even though it was short and it lasted about 40 secs I like it.
But maybe next time the dance be at least a minute long.
Bye and have a great day!
