The Stunning Experience in Student Summit

Hello fellow people! Today I'm gonna be talking about the Stunning 1st experience I have in Student Summit 2019.  First of all, what happened was all of the amazing Hornby High School Student Summit people gathered up in a meeting room and getting ready everything. 

I was nervous at that time because It was my first time being a part of Student Summit which is pretty exciting as well. I went a check our Slideshow and make sure there's nothing wrong with it.

We ride on a Van of HHS and drive to South Hornby School, After that, we wait for a while for the rest of the students in Different schools. I feel like there are thousands of people but no, there's only like 50+ students.

Miss Morgan tell us our Timetable and stuff and we started on our first session.

I and Nevaeh were first to present our toolkit. So we go to the table where we're gonna presents and set up stuff like connecting Nevaeh's Chromebook to the TV.

After that, some students from a range of Different schools come to our presentation.
From my observation, It's all the girls who came to our presentation.

After a while, It was going smooth so far until the Wifi connection isn't good.

But it's fine we find a solution to it. Overall my experience to the Student Summit was AMAZINGLY AMAZING!

Minute To Win It!

Minute To Win It!

Hola! This week was the last week of Term 1, So the Kiwi Kaha hosted a "Minute To Win It" to end the Term 1 Really good and unforgettable. Well sadly, I wasn't there for Full Period 3 because I have this Health Leaders event thing that I have to attend, So I just see the Half of the Event. 

Here are the players that went up for 7/8 Tz:

- Tamani - Cone flip (3rd)
- Jesse - Keeping balloons off the ground (3rd)
- Jayden - Cookie no hands (No place)
- Jayden - Blowing paper (No place)
- Rarotonga and Shanarnia - Balloon transporters (No Place)
- Hamid and Tevita - Bubbles (No Place)
- Hans - Spaghetti Pasta, Loading Penne Pasta (No Place)
- Zack - Yes/No - Water Gun (No Place)

As you can see, We didn't get any 1st and 2nd Place, we only have 3rd Place or No Place, But It's fine, At least we have fun. Hopefully Next Term, We will win.

What's Mean, Mode and Median??? (Statistics)

Morena! This week in Maths with Mrs Hastie, we are learning what's the meaning of Mean, Mode and Median in Statistics. So today I'm gonna tell you what it means. 

So first, Let's talk about "Mean". Mean is the sum of the scores divided by the number of scores (Also called Average). 

Next, What's Mode? The mode is the number that appears most often in a set of data.

Lastly, What's Median? The Median is the number that comes in the middle of a set of numbers when they are arranged in orders.

Introducing The New Hurumanu!

Kia Ora! Today I'm gonna talk about our another New Hurumanu.  Our other new Hurumanu is P.E. also known as "We're On Each Others Team". Last week we started this new Hurumanu, we played this game called "Bench Ball", we also played another game called "Long Ball", but I wasn't there when we play it, because I have to attend the Student Summit in South Hornby School.

How To Make Your Sentence Interesting?

Namaste! Today in Hurumanu Music (Monday Sessions), we are learning about How to make a boring/simple sentence into a detailed and interesting sentence.

So here's how...

  First, you need to put an interesting adjective, then add a When, Where, How and Why.

Here's mine:

Normal Sentence:

The music was loud.

Adding adjectives:

The music was extremely loud.

Adding when it happened:
In the afternoon the music was extremely loud.

Adding where it happened:

In the afternoon at the Music room, the music was extremely loud.

Adding how it happened:

In the afternoon at the Music room, the Music was extremely loud done by the annoying students.

Adding why it happened:

In the afternoon at the Music room, the Music was extremely loud done by the annoying students because they have nothing to do and decided to play with the instruments.

New Hururmanu!

NEW HURUMANU!!!

Bonjour! This week is the start of our new Hurumanu, Our new Hurumanu is Music. Our teacher in this wonderful new Hurumanu is Miss Birtch and Miss Hastie.

The Greatest Final Performance

Hallo! Today in Drama (Friday Session) is the final performance. 

For the last few weeks, me and my group Nevaeh, Shreya and Risha have been practicing our Freeze Frame, Chorus Movements and Reports.

The day has come, but sadly Risha didn't turn up because she was in Dunedin going with her mum for a Job. 

But it's fine, we have our Plan B anyways, Our Plan B is Shreya read my script, and I'll be Risha as the reporter of Nevaehlinne.
